Nickel Boys

This film is based on a true story that took place in Florida, a small town in the United States in the late 1960s.

At that time, there was a local movement protesting when black people began to demand equal rights with white people. It was a top secret and was kept secret for more than 50 years, so it was a glimpse into the movement of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a black man who led the local movement, one of the three major assassinations.

Synopsis…. In the late 1960s, when the black population was increasing in America, there was a school called Nickel Academy that was used to reform black youth. On the surface, this school was intended to be a boarding school for black students who were not given the opportunity to live, even though they were not financially able.

However, it turned out that the school was not a charitable school as many people knew, but on the inside, it was an organization that tortured students and forced them to work to earn money for those who ran the school. One day, a student named Elwood excels in high school and is accepted into Nickel Academy.

When Elwood enters the school, we will see what life is like for other students like him in this film.
